We’re supporting patients on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day
At Fertility Specialists of Texas, our goal is to support patients on the journey to parenthood. Many of our patients are unable to conceive on their own. However, others come to us after losing a pregnancy or an infant. We know how heartbreaking this can be, so we stand with these parents on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
October 15 is a time to raise awareness about pregnancy and infant loss while remembering the children who are no longer with us. Our Dallas-Fort Worth infertility center explains how patients can recognize this annual event.
What can you do on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day?
For parents who have lost children, this day is a time to honor their memories. It also provides an opportunity to process the intense grief that often accompanies the loss of a pregnancy or a child. One of the ways to do this is by participating in the International Wave of Light.
When the clock strikes 7:00 p.m. in your time zone, you’re encouraged to light a candle to honor all the babies who are gone too soon. By keeping the candle lit for at least an hour, you can join others around the globe to create a continuous wave of light on this special day.
Lighting a candle on October 15 isn’t the only way to participate in Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Here are some other ways to get involved and honor your child:
- Share your story online or in person.
- Talk about your child with your partner or other loved ones.
- Donate to a charity that focuses on helping others facing this type of loss.
We can help you welcome a rainbow baby when you’re ready
Our Dallas-Fort Worth infertility center team knows you might not be ready to try for a rainbow baby right now. However, we’re here for you when you are. We diagnose and treat patients who have experienced one or more miscarriages. With effective treatments like IVF and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), we help these patients become parents.
