Hans Christian Andersen once said, “Where words fail, music speaks.” We tend to agree with him.
Infertility sufferers often fall into one of two camps: those who suffer in silence and those who live through it out loud. No one option is better than the other, the pain remains the same.
And, so do the words left unspoken.
Often it’s the simplest words that are the hardest to say. “I feel broken.” “I’m alone.” “When will this end?” “Why me?”
When you can’t give your heart a voice, but you need it to be heard, what do you do? Research suggests turning up the volume. From pain management and stress reduction to mood elevation and relaxation, music has been found to have a profound impact on your health and well-being.
While the sweetest sounds won’t cure your infertility obstacles, perhaps this collection of songs compiled by staff at Fertility Specialists of Texas will provide something we all deserve — to feel good again.
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone — here’s to sharing it all without saying a word.
