Step 1: A Personalized Consultation

Your fertility journey is deeply personal, and your care should reflect that. During your first visit, we take the time to truly listen—understanding your story, answering your questions, and walking you through the next steps. Together, we’ll design a treatment plan that aligns with your needs, schedule, and aspirations for the future.

Step 2: Comprehensive Fertility Testing

Clarity is key when navigating fertility treatment. That’s why we take a thorough, data-driven approach to understanding your reproductive health. With targeted testing—including bloodwork, pelvic ultrasounds, and semen analysis—we pinpoint the factors influencing your fertility and build a strategy designed for success.

Step 3: Optimizing Ovulation

Timing is everything with IUI, and we’re here to ensure you never feel overwhelmed by the process. Our team tracks your ovulation cycle using advanced monitoring techniques, identifying the ideal moment for insemination.

Prior to the procedure, we may recommend various fertility medication treatments to stimulate the ovarian follicles and develop one or more eggs. If needed, we can also stimulate ovulation using self-administered injections to help ensure that at least one egg is released during your treatment cycle.

Step 4: Preparing the Sperm Sample

On the same day as the insemination procedure, we will collect a semen sample from the male partner or a sperm donor and “wash it”. Washing the sample involves separating the sperm cells from seminal plasma to achieve a highly concentrated sample.

For individuals and couples requiring donor sperm, we provide guidance and resources to help you choose a suitable donor. We can direct you to reputable sperm banks and assist in evaluating potential donors based on your preferences and medical considerations. Our specialists are here to support you through this decision-making process, ensuring you feel confident and informed.

Step 5: The IUI Procedure

You’ll be with the care team you trust on the day of your procedure. The insemination procedure itself is quick. Using a sterile, flexible catheter, your specialists will gently insert the concentrated sperm into the uterus, where it will have easier access to the egg.

Step 6: Ongoing Support & Next Steps

Your journey doesn’t end after the procedure. We stay by your side to provide ongoing support, follow-up appointments, and guidance tailored to your needs. Though tempting, we ask patients to avoid taking an at-home pregnancy step, since this can provide inaccurate results. Once we determine the results at our clinic, regardless of the results, we’ll discuss next steps together.
