IVF near Me

In vitro fertilization (IVF) can provide a pathway to parenthood for individuals and couples who are experiencing the challenges of infertility. The experienced team at Fertility Specialists of Texas offers effective fertility treatments, including IVF, to help you grow your family.

If you are considering IVF as a fertility treatment, you can schedule an appointment at one of our Texas-based locations. We are here to support you through every step of your journey.

Understanding IVF and Its Benefits

IVF is a specialized fertility treatment designed to increase the chances of pregnancy by fertilizing an egg with sperm outside of the body. Through the IVF process, eggs are retrieved from the ovaries, fertilized with sperm in our state-of-the-art lab, and transferred into the uterus for hopeful implantation and pregnancy.

You may be a good candidate for IVF if you and your partner are struggling with infertility. Typically, we recommend patients younger than 35 try to conceive for 12 months before considering IVF. Our specialists are also proud to support members of the LGBTQ+ community with IVF treatments to help them have biological children.

What Can I Expect During the IVF Process?

The IVF process is an emotional, physical, and financial commitment that can be challenging for couples and individuals. At Fertility Specialists of Texas, we prioritize personalized, honest, and informative care, so you can make the best decisions for your family.

Each journey is unique depending on your family goals and health; however, you can expect the following steps on your journey:

First Consultation and Fertility Testing

Every IVF journey begins with a consultation, where our fertility specialists discuss your reproductive goals and medical history. From there, we recommend and conduct fertility testing to design a customized treatment plan.

Ovarian Stimulation and Egg Retrieval

To prepare for IVF, patients undergo a brief period of ovarian stimulation, using self-administered injections to promote the production of multiple eggs. Once the eggs are ready, our specialists perform an egg retrieval procedure using a needle guided by ultrasound to collect them safely. This minimally-invasive procedure allows you to return to your regular activities the same day.

Fertilization and Embryo Transfer

In our laboratory, we fertilize the retrieved eggs with sperm from either a partner or a donor. Our skilled embryologists monitor embryo development closely, selecting the healthiest embryo for transfer. After the embryo transfer, we ask that patients return to our clinic two weeks later for a pregnancy test.
